This is me!
Introduction

Hello! My name is Isabella Rondon, and I am Junior in high school, I applied for this class because of something funny, Donnie Darko; Donnie Darko is my favorite movie, not just because of the plot but the Science fiction aspects of the movie, the camera angles, the random shots in the movie that are odd but mean a lot towards the end of the movie. This movie made me appreciate the media a little more and the aspects of it all.

My Favorite Type of Media




I love media, if it is watching YouTube videos, watching movies, and listening to music on Spotify. The idea of listening and watching media this way keeps me more entertained and focused. The format of a 20-minute entertaining video really fascinates me or even listening to music and imagining a life through the music. Movies have also created an impact on my media experience, movies with sudden plot twists and jump scares truly fascinates me.

Information about Media

Media is my number 1 format to gain information, short YouTube videos about random facts that you will probably never need, are the ones who always stay in my mind, because when I'm gaining information in a format that I can focus on, is the best way to gain knowledge. Movies may seem like pure entertainment, but I’ve realized they're the ones who have taught me the most whether it's from cultural knowledge to random coffee knowledge I learn from a Bakery show. I prefer this because I feel short YouTube videos keep more focused because they don't describe much in depth they give an overview, and if I am more entertained, I can give a deeper look on the topic (Which I always do), and in movies they don't make the random information the whole movie but they’re like interesting that you still think about it during and after the movie.

We chose this song because it's really emotional and talks about growing apart from people you care about. The lyrics and slow tone fit perfectly with the story we want to talk about friendship changing over time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our idea starts with three girls sitting together watching TV. They're laughing and having fun, and it feels like a close friendship moment. Then the TV suddenly goes to static , and that's when the video shifts to show how their friendship starts to fall apart.
